CBDT Targets Rs 2.57 Lakh Crore in Tax Arrears
CBDT has identified its top 10,000 arrear cases, representing Rs 2.57 lakh crore in outstanding tax demand, as its primary collection target for FY27. The department will also track top advance-tax payers and scrutinise potential misuse of exemptions and deductions.
