The Hunt for Gollum has confirmed Jamie Dornan as Strider, with Leo Woodall joining and Lee Pace returning to the Lord of the Rings franchise. The casting marks a full reboot of one of the IP's most recognized characters, previously played by Viggo Mortensen. The film is directed by Andy Serkis.
