UDF Sweeps Wayanad; Minister O.R. Kelu Loses
Congress candidate Usha Vijayan defeated sitting CPI(M) minister O.R. Kelu in Wayanad by 10,543 votes as the UDF swept the district in Kerala's 2026 assembly elections. The loss of a sitting Cabinet minister by such a margin is a significant blow to the LDF's statewide position.
