India Bullet Train: 357 km Done, Opens 2027
India's Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor now has 357 km of viaduct complete, with the Surat-Bilimora section set to open on 15 August 2027. Project costs have risen roughly 83 per cent to an estimated Rs 1.98 lakh crore, with full completion targeted by end-2029.
